A cohort of Nursing students from Angkor University’s (AU) Faculty of Public Health is currently undertaking a crucial short-term study program at the renowned Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Belgium.

This academic endeavor is part of the prestigious European Union’s Erasmus+ Program, offering our future healthcare professionals an extraordinary opportunity for international exposure.

Global Immersion in European Healthcare

The students are fully immersed in the European academic environment, actively engaged in coursework and clinical observations designed to broaden their professional expertise. The key activities of the exchange focus on:

  • Comparative Healthcare Systems: Analyzing and understanding the advanced practices and methodologies utilized in Belgian hospitals and clinics.

  • Advanced Clinical Skills: Gaining exposure to specialized nursing techniques and equipment used in a high-tech international setting.

  • Cross-Cultural Competence: Working alongside international peers and faculty, developing the essential communication skills needed for global health cooperation.

AU's Commitment to Global Readiness

The participation in this Erasmus+ exchange highlights Angkor University's dedication to producing globally competitive graduates. By facilitating opportunities like this, AU ensures that its Nursing students are not only trained to local standards but also aware of and adaptable to international benchmarks in public health and patient care.

The experience gained by the students in Belgium will be invaluable, equipping them with the knowledge and confidence to meet the evolving demands of Cambodia's healthcare sector upon their return. We look forward to their safe return and the insights they will share with the Faculty of Public Health.
