Angkor University proudly hosted the Initiation and Oath of Office Ceremony for students of the Faculty of Public Health for the 2024–2025 academic year, marking a significant milestone in the educational and professional journey of future public health professionals.
The ceremony was held under the high patronage of His Excellency Dr. Sieng Nam, Chairman of the Board of Angkor University, and His Excellency Sok Thol, Deputy Governor of the Siem Reap Provincial Government. Their honorable presence emphasized the university’s strong commitment to nurturing health sector leaders and strengthening collaboration between academic institutions and local authorities.
In his keynote address, H.E. Neak Oknha Dr. Seang Nam highlighted the essential role public health professionals play in protecting and improving community well-being, especially in the context of regional and global health challenges. He encouraged students to uphold the highest ethical standards and to serve with dedication, integrity, and compassion.
H.E. Sok Thol echoed these sentiments, commending Angkor University for its dedication to producing competent health professionals and for its contribution to the development of Siem Reap province and Cambodia as a whole.
During the ceremony, students solemnly took their professional oath, pledging to uphold the principles of public health, promote preventive care, and serve the community with responsibility and respect.
The event also inspirational speeches by faculty members, and a presentation of the university’s strategic vision for the Faculty of Public Health.
